Mattie’s Middle School
Prerequisite: Elementary Education or equivalent
Students who have graduated from our lower level course work are often ready for more challenging studies. The Mattie's Middle School course builds on the skills learned in our K9k and Elementary Education classes and takes them to the next level. The first night of class; students are expected to maintain a three minute down stay and a two minute sit stay. Previous exercises are polished and distractions are added to "proof" behaviors. Heeling and formal turns are added as well as a more refined "finish". Students are beginning to rely more on oral cues and less on their leashes. Every week a game is played to enhance the learning experience and ensure that class doesn't get too serious. The final class is the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen examination. Students from other schools must test into this class the first night to ensure readiness.  Tuition: $175
